The booklet compares spending across two periods of government. The figures are given as the ministry stated them, with no adjustment for inflation. Readers should note that such comparisons depend on what spending is counted.

Swachh Bharat Diwas
An event at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, marked three years of the Swachh Bharat Mission and the end of the “Swachhata Hi Seva” fortnight. The Prime Minister addressed the event. The photograph on this page shows the minister speaking at the podium. No PIB release naming him for this event was found.

Press conference on the Central Vista project
According to media reports, he responded to criticism of the project and gave estimated costs of about ₹862 crore for the new Parliament building and about ₹477 crore for the Central Vista Avenue.
